Gloucestershire has a rich Roman history and many examples of early mosaics remain. I love the fact that this art form is so durable and that it need not be purely decorative but often has a purpose too . I use a variety of materials eg: glass,ceramic,china,stones, beads and my own handmade raku and glass tesserae to produce mosaics for both indoors and the garden.
Much of my work is inspired by Nature;the play of light and the rhythm of a piece are always in my mind when I work on a mosaic.
