Visual Arts and Music12 (4th - 15th July)

There’s some excellent visual art on show, during Music12, including work by COS members Peter Granville Edmunds and Rob Goldsmith.

Peter's emotionally charged abstract paintings in this exhibition have been especially made for Music12 and are spontaneous, in-the-moment responses to a selection of the work being performed this year.

Flying the flag for Music12

Members from Cheltenham Open Studios have been involved in a project for the Cheltenham Music Festival where groups from different sections of the local community have created a magnificent display in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The pupils’ work was exhibited along with work from St Lukes art group and COS members. The school prize was presented to the winner with a visit to the school from our Treasurer, Sylvia Lauder and the Vicar at St Lukes Church.

COS at The Cheltenham Science Festival

Two more COS artists ran a workshop over the weekend, this time at The Cheltenham Science Festival, making jewellery from recycled materials, which was hugely well attended. We also had an exhibition of members work showing, again based on the theme of the festival.
