I work mainly in mixed media, my abstract work is intuitive and organic, the concept is generated through the practice growing from the initial marks.
I start on a blank canvas with areas of colour and form, adding anything new alters the ballance and determins what comes next. I'm interested in how one colour/shape/form interacts with another, there are lots of edits, changes and balancing out to create a visual harmony. I listen to music while I'm painting, which drives the work on, one abstract thing feeding another.
