Sylvia Wadsley
Landscape painting helps me reflect on my emotional relationship with nature. I love the alchemy of oil painting. A central ethos to my work is the holistic view that we are interconnected and interdependent with the living presence of nature.
My sea and skyscapes which are moving ever closer to abstraction, subtlety evoke a meditative sense of serenity and calm. In contrast, landscape work often uses heightened colour to convey the emotive impact of natural places. My aim is to re-enchant landscape and invite the viewer to step inside a liminal space.
