Adam Stinson
I first discovered ceramics as a teenager in the early seventies and became fascinated by the limitless possibilities offered by the ancient alchemy of mud and fire.
Retiring from a working life of graphic design, typography, art direction, photography and
the commercial world I began working with clay again.
I respond to inspirations from the world around me, industrial structures, random marks and natural striations as well as a love of traditional African pottery but my work is firmly rooted in the idea of combining function with creative forms, textures and finishes.
I'm always exploring new ideas, possibilities and techniques – each piece is a one off – and I also work on commissions.
Please contact me with commissions or for further details.
