Barbara Curry
Barbara is a Diploma graduate (2021) of Norfolk Painting School. Her work, in oils and mixed media, has been described as "expressive", "joyful" and "affectionate". Her work has earned "highly commended" awards from the Broadway Festival of Arts and from NPS competitions. Barbara lives and paints in Winchcombe, and specialises in the landscapes of her beloved Cotswolds, where she can be seen walking at dawn as well as other times of the day, winter and summer. She is a regular exhibitor with COS Open Studios and gives talks on art history at Evesham u3a and occasional demonstrations in oil painting techniques, e.g. recently at Ledbury Art Group. Barbara was chosen this year by the e-magazine Art Focus for a special award: "Unique Landscape Painter of the Year". Barbara's paintings are popular, with some paintings selling as soon as they are shown. In 2023, two of her paintings were chosen as Finalists in Open Competitions. She held her third successful solo exhibition this summer (2025), at Sixteen Gallery.
