Emma Yorke
Emma's art practice is wide ranging, and encompasses textiles, painting, installation and camera less photography. Emma also often works with found and repurposed materials, as well as site-specific elements of place such as water and light, and is interested in developing a practice that is sustainable, with minimal environmental impact. Her pieces often evolve over a number of years, creating opportunities to explore notions of cyclical time and the effect of memory on the making process. Emma has a particular interest in place-based making and recently completed the MA Arts & Place at Dartington Arts School.
Emma has completed artist residencies at Spitsbergen Arts Centre, Svalbard, aark, Finland, art.earth, Devon, Hauser & Wirth, Somerset and Delfina Foundation, London, and has shown work across London and the South West, including a solo show with Tebbs Contemporary in 2021.
