Liz Francis

My art is most often inspired by the wonder of the natural world; the shapes, design, pattern, colour and the ever changing nature of these elements. I work in a variety of 2D media. I particularly enjoy exploring the mark- making versatility of pastels.
Hard and soft pastels, conte and charcoal can be used in so many ways to produce beautiful images across the spectrum from photo-realism to the highly abstract , and can be used effectively with other media too.
