My art is inspired by the transcendent beauty, visceral emotion, unavoidable despair, and profound inspiration found in nature - in something as simple as gazing across a body of water, reflecting on one's own life and relationships, and standing in awe of it all.

When painting, I am fascinated by light, mood and the creation of soft movement within my work. I primarily paint in watercolor, using a variety of techniques to create pieces that capture my impression of this moment in time.

Having grown up in South Africa, I was surrounded by both beauty and suffering. As is often the case with artists, our culture and lived experiences subconsciously weave their way into every brushstroke, becoming an intrinsic part of the finished piece. My work seeks not only to reflect the external world, but also to evoke a sense of connection, introspection, and emotional resonance within the viewer.
