Unique and hand crafted design

Shelley’s clocks and ceramics are all unique, individually designed and hand crafted. She produces bespoke clocks that are predominantly vintage in feel but also encompasses in her commission work a wide range of themes and detail, ranging from unicorns and castles through to yoga clocks and nature.

Shelley mainly uses a slab technique but will also incorporate coil building, pinching, modelling and carving into the clay to create a variety of effects. Every piece is hand painted using a mixture of under glaze paints and glazes before being kiln fired.

Shelley produces clocks which she sells throughout the Cotswolds and beyond and also works closely with clients on commissions to produce beautiful, bespoke pieces which are as unique and individual as the person that she is creating it for.

Memory Lane Vintage Clocks- By Design now has its home at the beautiful Old Coachhouse Studio. Surrounded by all things vintage and nestled in the crook of Cleeve Hill in an Area of Outstanding Natural beauty it truly is an inspiring and relaxing place to work. The studio enables a variety of artists young and old to explore their creative sides and during Cheltenham Open studios you will be able to see some of them not only at work but also view a sample of the fantastic work that they produce.

When you come up Mill Lane you will reach a crossroad to Queenswood Grove and Cockcroft Lane. From that junction we are just after the third house on the right hand side called Whitehill (immediately after the brown wood bungalow). If you come through the top wooden gate after the house and the hedge there is parking in the field. Follow the signposted path to the rear of the studio.
